WGT S-Series Helical-Worm Gear Reducer
The WGT S-Series helical-worm gear reducer is a high-performance power transmission device, integrating helical gear and worm drive technologies to balance compactness, large reduction ratio and operational stability. As a key product of WGT Weigao Transmission, it is widely favored in light and heavy industries for its reliable self-locking capability and cost-effective performance, addressing diverse low-to-medium speed, high-torque transmission needs.
Structurally optimized, the reducer adopts a one-piece cast iron housing with high rigidity, effectively absorbing vibration and reducing noise during operation. The helical gears are made of 20CrMnTi alloy steel, undergoing carburizing, quenching and precision grinding processes to achieve HRC58°-62° surface hardness, ensuring wear resistance and stable meshing. The worm is crafted from 45# steel with nitriding treatment, while the worm wheel uses wear-resistant tin bronze, significantly extending the service life of the transmission pair.
It covers a power range of 0.12-22 kW, torque output up to 4000 Nm, and reduction ratio ranging from 5-100, with transmission efficiency between 50%-95% depending on the speed ratio. The inherent self-locking function of the worm drive eliminates the need for additional braking components in vertical lifting scenarios, enhancing operational safety.
Equipped with high-quality oil seals and bearings, the S-Series boasts excellent leakage resistance and low maintenance requirements, with a design lifespan exceeding 40,000 hours. It supports multiple mounting modes, including foot-mounted, flange-mounted and torque arm-mounted, adapting to various installation spaces.
This series is extensively applied in lifting machinery, packaging equipment, theater stage systems, conveyor lines, and food processing machinery. Backed by WGT’s strict quality control, it supports OEM customization and provides stable, efficient power solutions for global customers in different industrial fields.
