NORD Worm Gear Motors are compact, self-locking transmission solutions designed for industrial applications requiring high torque density and space efficiency. Integrating a worm gear reducer with a motor, they feature a right-angle layout that simplifies installation in confined spaces, making them ideal for scenarios where spatial constraints and load-carrying capacity are critical.

The series covers a versatile performance range, with power outputs from 0.12kW to 15kW and output torque spanning 20Nm to 3,000Nm. Transmission ratios range from 5:1 to 300:1, supporting precise speed reduction for low-speed, high-torque operations. A key advantage is the inherent self-locking capability (depending on the worm lead angle), which prevents back-driving without additional brakes, enhancing operational safety in vertical or load-holding applications.

Engineered for durability, these gear motors adopt high-quality worm shafts and worm wheels—typically made of hardened steel and bronze, respectively—ensuring smooth meshing, low wear, and quiet operation.
