The UNICASE Helical Bevel Gear Motor, a flagship product of NORD Drive Systems, is a high-performance integrated transmission solution renowned for its robust structure and reliable operation. Originating from NORD’s pioneering UNICASE one-piece housing technology developed in 1981, this gear motor has become an international benchmark in angular power transmission, widely applied in diverse industrial scenarios.
This series covers 11 basic sizes, with a power range of 0.12 kW to 200 kW and an output torque range of 180 Nm to 50,000 Nm, perfectly adapting to both light and heavy-duty applications. The transmission ratio spans from 8.04 to 13,432.68, supporting precise speed regulation through single, triple, or quadruple reduction configurations. Its core advantage lies in the one-piece SAE 30 gray cast iron housing, which eliminates bolt-on output covers, effectively solving common issues like oil leakage, contamination, and gear misalignment.
Engineered for durability, the gear motor features high-precision helical bevel gears meeting international standards, ensuring smooth tooth engagement, low noise, and high efficiency. Reinforced bearing assemblies enable excellent resistance to radial and axial loads, while high-quality multi-lip mechanical seals and labyrinth structures enhance leakage protection. The modular design offers versatile mounting options, including foot, flange, and hollow-shaft installations, with solid and hollow shaft variants compatible with keys, Gripmaxx™, and shrink discs.
Suitable for harsh environments, it can be equipped with NXD tupH® food-safe surface treatment or IP69K protection. Low maintenance requirements are achieved via optimized lubrication systems, with synthetic lubricants extending oil change intervals to twice the standard duration. Widely used in conveyors, packaging machinery, wastewater treatment, and mining equipment, it integrates seamlessly with Siemens IDS and inverter-duty motors, laying a solid foundation for energy-saving operation and predictive maintenance.
